Hi-9 Trucking, a prominent trucking company based in Las Vegas, was grappling with a slow, manual workflow that was costing them hours every single day. Their team was spending a massive chunk of time pulling data from multiple external sources by hand — copying numbers, cross-referencing records, and manually compiling reports in spreadsheets. This inefficiency was directly hindering their operational productivity and ability to scale. They needed a custom-built solution, not an off-the-shelf tool, to automate data collection, centralize their records, and give the team fast, reliable access to the information they depend on.

How We Supported

We embedded with the Hi-9 Trucking team to understand exactly where time was being lost and what data mattered most. From there, we designed and built a full-stack custom web application from scratch:

• Automated web scraping engine — Built a robust scraper that pulls structured data from multiple external sources on a scheduled basis, replacing hours of manual copy-paste work. The scraper handles authentication, pagination, and error recovery automatically.
• Centralized database — All scraped data flows into a clean, normalized database that serves as the single source of truth for the team’s operational records.
• Dashboard UI — We built an intuitive web-based dashboard where the Hi-9 team can search, filter, and browse their data in real time. No more digging through folder after folder of spreadsheets.
• Excel export — One-click export to formatted Excel spreadsheets, matching the exact layout the team was already used to working with. This was critical for adoption — the output looks familiar, but now it takes seconds instead of hours.
• Ongoing iteration — As the team’s needs evolved, we continued refining the scraper logic, adding new data sources, and improving the dashboard based on real usage patterns.

The impact was immediate and significant. Tasks that used to eat up the better part of a workday now happen automatically in the background. The Hi-9 team gets accurate, up-to-date data without lifting a finger, and they can pull reports on demand whenever they need them. This project is a clear example of what happens when you build the right tool for the job instead of trying to force a generic solution into a specific workflow.
